Monarch's first acquisition brings on the team behind HMBradley to form Monarch Labs, as the company looks to expand the ways it improves the financial lives of members.
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Monarch, the all-in-one, collaborative personal finance platform, today announced that it has hit $100 million in ARR and acquired MBI, formerly HMBradley. The $100 million ARR milestone represents a new level of scale for Monarch and provides an opportunity to further invest in its mission to help people improve their financial health. The MBI team has a track record of innovation across consumer finance and will support Monarch's plans to expand the products and services available to its 1M+ members.

For Monarch, hitting $100 million ARR and acquiring MBI are the latest in a series of 2026 growth milestones that include surpassing 1 million members actively managing their finances on the platform, the launch of a premium tier, Monarch Plus, and inclusion on Fast Company Most Innovative Companies List. Monarch's mission is to help people improve their financial health with a platform built to give members a clear view of their finances, help them understand their money and plan for the future.
"With more than one million members and $100 million in ARR, Monarch has reached an exciting new stage of growth," said Val Agostino, Co-Founder and CEO of Monarch. "This scale gives us the opportunity to further invest in our mission, and bringing the MBI team onboard is an important part of that next chapter. We're building toward a future where Monarch doesn't just provide deep insight, but helps consumers confidently take action and make the most of their money to build the lives they want."
Originally founded as HMBradley, the MBI team has a decade of experience spanning consumer banking, financial infrastructure, and developing new ways to help people manage their money. HMBradley rewarded customers with higher APYs based on how much of the money coming into their accounts they saved, and later built Routines, a system of customizable automations that let customers use triggers and actions to automatically save, move, and organize their money. Along the way, the team built much of the underlying financial infrastructure needed to power those products.
"Our team has spent the better part of a decade learning how to build both consumer financial products and the infrastructure behind them," shared Zach Bruhnke, Co-Founder and CEO of MBI. "Joining Monarch gives us the scale, distribution, and trust to move much faster and become a much bigger part of people's financial lives, while continuing to do what we love."
Bruhnke will lead Monarch Labs, with a focus on exploring new growth areas and products. This will allow Monarch to move quickly from exploration to development, bringing more financial tools and services into its platform while continuing to improve its core product experience. Monarch's long-term goal is to be a one-stop destination for member financial needs, allowing members to confidently take the actions they need to improve broader financial lives.
