Detritus Returns to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for Second Straight Year

SAVANNAH, Ga., Aug. 28, 2026
SAVANNAH, Ga., Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Detritus announced today it has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of the nation's most successful independent businesses, attesting to its bold growth as a leading online platform for booking portable sanitation, dumpsters and other construction-site services.
The honor underscores the Savannah company's success in building a nationwide digital marketplace that connects contractors, event organizers, and Fortune 500 companies with a network of more than 7,000 local vendors that provide everything from restroom trailers to portable offices, from temporary fencing to bottled water.
Detritus in recent years turbo charged its growth by bringing on new talent and increasing investment in technology, operations and sales, while branching into new services and markets. Detritus qualified as a 2026 Inc. 5000 company with a 286% surge in revenue from 2022 to 2025, earning the rank of No. 1,222 out of 5,000.
Detritus gives independent local operators the same technology, marketing reach and sales infrastructure that large, institutionally-backed national players use — helping small businesses compete and grow on their own terms.
In 2018, co-founders and Savannah childhood friends Sean Dane Kellogg and Max Lemaigre were working in Atlanta when they saw an opportunity for a data-driven platform for sourcing construction-site services. They quit their dumpster sourcing and trucking logistics jobs, moved back to Savannah and started Detritus with $5,000 out of a spare bedroom, launching with dumpsters, later adding portable toilets, then a variety of job-site services.
"Being named to the Inc. 5000 for the second year running is first a credit to Sean and Max, for betting eight years ago that job-site services were due for a technology-driven overhaul," said Render Braswell, CEO of Detritus. "Credit also goes to the team that's been building on their vision ever since, making sure local operators get the same reach and infrastructure that the big, financially-backed incumbents have."
The company has grown to 53 employees, and its hyper scaling over the past few years has been led by Braswell and Chief Technology Officer David Waltz.
Detritus first earned a place on the Inc. 5000 list in 2025, and the back-to-back honors give momentum for its next phase of investment in AI capabilities and enterprise growth.
Companies on the 2026 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. The minimum revenue required for 2022 is $100,000; the minimum for 2025 is $2 million.
